~50%Less production time

Currys put AI inside the creative pipeline

The UK electronics retailer built Adobe Firefly into its campaign workflow — generating concepts, iterating visuals and spinning up on-brand variants instead of waiting days for each round of assets.

The lesson is not “add an image tool.” It is that AI belongs at the slowest step of a process you already run, not bolted onto the end of it.

Slazenger replaced blasts with a sequence

The sportswear brand ran personalised, automated messaging across email, web push and SMS as one coordinated journey rather than separate campaigns, and reported a 700% increase in customer acquisition alongside the return figure.

They did not get a bigger list. They got a smarter sequence — which is the same lever available to you on tools you are probably already paying for.

Hotels handed the back of house to agents

Hospitality operators are running agentic AI — not chatbots — for room allocation, predictive maintenance and housekeeping schedules, with forecasting models predicting covers and revenue by outlet inside that accuracy band.

The winning move was giving an agent a whole repeatable process, so staff spend their hours on the part guests actually remember. That maps directly onto the work still sitting on your calendar.

ChurnThe metric they chased

Netflix optimised for staying, not signing up

Its recommendation system adapts to each viewer as behaviour changes, so the homepage reads as made-for-you and choosing something takes seconds. The measurable result is engagement and retention, not acquisition.

Retention is the cheapest growth there is. Using what you already know about a customer to make them feel seen is a systems problem, and systems are automatable.

Widely reported; Netflix does not publish the underlying figures.
Try-onBefore the purchase

Sephora let people see it before they bought it

Virtual Artist puts makeup shades on a customer’s own face through the phone camera in real time, layering product advice on top of what it sees. It removes the single largest hesitation in buying cosmetics online, which is not knowing how a colour will actually look on you.

Find the moment your customer stalls because they cannot picture the outcome, then use AI to let them see it. Preview beats persuasion, and it works the same way for a quote, a schedule or a floor plan.

Company-reported. Higher engagement and lower returns; exact figures not published.

87%Prefer being told first

Companies stopped waiting to be complained at

Rather than leaving customers to hunt through an FAQ, operators across industries now reach out first: delay alerts, payment reminders, fixes sent before anyone notices something is wrong. Research from the National Bureau of Economic Research puts the productivity gain for support teams using AI agents at roughly 14%.

The cheapest customer service is the complaint that never gets filed. One well-built proactive notification usually beats an entire support automation built to handle the fallout.

Microsoft pointed AI at work that already existed

A July update lets people ask Copilot to produce finished Word documents, Excel workbooks and slide decks directly from content already sitting in SharePoint pages, lists and files. The operations manager who spent every Monday turning a project site into a status deck now asks for it in a sentence.

The pattern that pays is not “AI writes something new.” It is “AI reshapes what you already have into the format someone is waiting on.” That work exists in every business, including yours.

QuestionsAbout the resources

Two quick ones.

Which AI Accelerate resource should I start with?

Start with the 10 AI Agents guide either way — it names the work you are already paying someone to do, or would have to hire for. If you own a business with staff, follow it with the 2-Week Vacation Test to score how much still runs through you. Both are free and take under ten minutes.

Are the free resources actually free?

Yes. The Vacation Test, the 10 AI Agents guide and Reclaim One Hour a Day require an email address and no card. They are designed to be useful on their own rather than as teasers.
